WHERE DO THE SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?

All sessions take place in the comfort and convenience of your own home (either in-person or virtually via Zoom). No worrying about taking time to travel, forgetting materials, adjusting to new surroundings, or getting lost!

HOW FREQUENT ARE THE SESSIONS?

Once we match your child up with an expert, we will work within your and the expert's schedule limitations to schedule a series of eight sessions. We aim to schedule weekly in order to keep momentum high and make as much progress as possible. After each series of sessions you will have the option to continue for another series of sessions.

WILL MY CHILD SEE THE SAME EXPERT EACH TIME?

Yes! Your child will develop a great rapport with the expert, and all content throughout the series of sessions will be customized specifically for his/her level of progress and area of interest. 

HOW MUCH DO THE SESSIONS COST?

Some of our experts have graduate degrees in their fields, while others are self-taught learners still in school. Experts are paid based on their level of experience and seniority, and therefore all family pricing also varies based on the expert's experience level. Each family will be presented with individualized pricing for your series of sessions before finalizing the series contract agreement.

HOW ARE THE EXPERTS VETTED?

All experts are meticulously screened through background checks, credit checks, fingerprinting and personal interviews. All employment, character, and experiential references are checked personally by Blue Sky Kids management.

MY CHILD'S FRIEND or sibling WANTS TO JOIN - DO YOU OFFER SESSIONS FOR SMALL GROUPS?

We generally encourage the one-on-one model for maximum efficiency and customization. However, if your child's friend or sibling would like to participate in one or more sessions, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you with a small rate increase.

DO YOU OFFER BIRTHDAY PARTIES?

Sorry, no, not at this time!

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Because dates are scheduled in advance on mutually agreeable dates for the experts and the families, it is our policy to provide no make-ups for any missed sessions due to family circumstances. 

WHAT AGE CHILDREN DO YOU OFFER SESSIONS FOR?

For most interest areas, unless otherwise noted, sessions can be scheduled for children ages 5 - 12.

do you come to where i live?

We are based in Basking Ridge, NJ. We will come to your home there or in surrounding towns such as Bernardsville, Warren, Bridgewater, Berkeley Heights, Morristown, Bedminster, and Far Hills. If you are outside these areas, just ask! We'll do our best to make it work.

how does payment work?

We ask for 100% payment for the full series of sessions when the contract is signed in order to secure your spot in our schedule. Payment is accepted electronically via our secure online system, powered by Stripe.
